My question to be fair did not start with Obama but W. Bush. I think most American citizens want freedom, true democracy (I voted Obama), right to practice religion, seperation of church and state, healthcare, woman's right to choose, PRIVACY AND DUE PROCESS WITH RIGHT TO A SPEEDY TRIAL. All men are equal, yet in Chicago you take spread out gov housing moving it to the Southside all couped up together with dif gangs and expected peace. Where did America go? Patriot Act started something. We are ruled by fear I believe on purpose by our Gov. NSA proved that by spying on Americans who do nothing. I signed you for the Armed Forces and can't go due to a tattoo bc I'm a woman! Ridiculous! I'm 33 and I don't understand what happened- We don't negoitate with terrorist, but seems Americans did when they sat back and said nothing while trading their freedom for security. Personally, I'd rather die for the freedom I once enjoyed and loved, that is now systematically being dismantled. It is the right of the people to rise up in protest if gov does not represent Americans Constitutional Rights afforded to us. As Gerald Ford said, "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have." I was no fan of his, but this quote seemed true enough in todays time. You took privacy, right to trial warrantless taps, recording American citizens, and it's always the fear aspect used. I say, please email a response. I'm starting to lose faith in the very system that I would fight in War for. What happened to my beloved America? Please answer.
